‘Hands On Poetry’

Come celebrate National Poetry Day at Alphabet City.
‘Hands on Poetry’ is an evening centred around poetry zines. The event launches ‘Hands Like Mirrors,’ a self-published print anthology featuring poetry and short fiction from young New Zealand and Australian poets. There will be poetry readings from contributors + other guests, and copies will be available for sale.
Visitors are encouraged to take part in the creation of a collaborative poetry zine. Participants can bring a poem of their own (or write one on the spot) and use Alphabet City’s typewriters and tools to design a page of the zine.
Entry is free and open to all.
